Provide virtual nutrition counseling and weight management support for patients with obesity and related cardiometabolic conditions, using phone, video, chat, text, and email. The role includes medication support for obesity-related comorbidities, remote monitoring of devices, and ongoing behavior-change coaching to help patients manage chronic conditions over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct intensive nutrition counseling and weight management education through telehealth channels.
- Provide medication management support for obesity-related comorbidities under physician supervision.
- Support dosing and titration of anti-obesity medications within established protocols.
- Monitor patient data from remote devices such as scales, glucose meters, blood pressure monitors, and ketone meters.
- Collaborate with assigned physicians and external providers to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Use motivational interviewing and other behavior-change techniques to support patient progress.
- Complete documentation accurately and on time.
- Maintain program quality and performance metrics while delivering patient care.
Required
- Registered Dietitian credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
- State licensure, if required for the assigned coverage area.
- Willingness and ability to obtain additional state licenses as needed.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule with a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week.
- Ability to work from a HIPAA-compliant workspace with high-speed internet.
- Must live in the United States.
- Must not hold full-time employment elsewhere.
Preferred
- Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) credential.
- Availability during evenings and Saturdays.
