Provide first-line virtual nursing support for members navigating fertility, menopause, hormonal, preconception, and metabolic health concerns. The role centers on asynchronous triage, member education, lab review, care coordination, and escalation to physicians when clinical judgment beyond RN scope is needed. Work is fully remote and follows scheduled weekday coverage within a telemedicine clinic model.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct first-line review of inbound member messages and triage for urgency.
- Escalate clinically complex issues or urgent concerns to a physician per protocol.
- Deliver education on menopause staging, hormone therapy, preconception health, metabolic health, and medication administration.
- Review and triage incoming lab results and identify critical findings for escalation.
- Coordinate specialist referrals, retrieve outside records, and manage care-team follow-up.
- Manage pharmacy callbacks and prior authorizations in collaboration with the care team.
- Document clinically relevant interactions the same day and create tracked internal tasks with named owners.
- Contribute to chart audits and clinical protocol feedback as the program scales.
Required
- Active, unrestricted RN license with NLC multi-state privileges in good standing.
- ADN or BSN from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
- At least 3 years of active RN clinical experience.
- Experience in women’s health, reproductive health, OB/GYN, fertility, endocrinology, or menopause care.
- Experience with nurse triage, including urgency assessment, protocol-based escalation, and recognition of critical lab values.
- Ability to work scheduled shifts within the Monday-Friday, 8:00a-6:00p CST coverage window from a HIPAA-compliant home workspace.
Preferred
- Experience in a menopause clinic, fertility center, REI practice, or similar specialty program.
- Familiarity with preconception and fertility workup, including AMH and hormone panels, ovulation tracking, and cycle-monitoring labs.
- Experience with hormone therapy education and prior authorization workflows.
- Experience supporting members using anti-obesity medications, including GLP-1 receptor agonists.
- Prior experience in digital health, health benefits, or multi-state telemedicine environments.
- Relevant certification such as MSCP or RNC-OB.
- Fluency in an additional language.
