Lead day-to-day telemedicine clinic operations for a virtual fertility and family care program, with a focus on supporting registered nurses, provider coverage, scheduling, and workflow performance. This role also oversees EMR setup, clinical queues, documentation processes, quality review, and operational reporting as the service scales. It is a working manager position that partners closely with clinical leadership, IT, Product, and an external staffing vendor to keep care delivery running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Directly manage a team of registered nurses and other clinical staff, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance management, and professional development.
- Own scheduling, coverage, and workflow management for the telemedicine clinic.
- Serve as the operational owner of the EMR, including configuration and upkeep of clinical content, forms, and related settings.
- Manage clinical operations queues and workflows, including chat operations, coverage assignment, labs, and faxing.
- Coordinate with an external provider staffing vendor on coverage forecasting, scheduling, onboarding logistics, documentation, and responsiveness.
- Participate in telemedicine platform and clinical tool support with IT and Product.
- Support development and version control of clinical protocols, SOPs, policies, provider playbooks, and job aids.
- Support quality assurance through chart review, documentation review, follow-up on quality concerns, and quality metric tracking.
- Track and report operational KPIs such as visit volume, wait times, no-show rates, and SLA compliance.
Required
- Active, unrestricted RN license.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 2+ years managing registered nurses or other healthcare professionals.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in healthcare or clinical operations.
- Hands-on experience working in and configuring an EMR/EHR.
- Direct experience in telemedicine or virtual care operations.
Preferred
- Multi-state or compact RN license, or willingness to obtain additional licensure.
- Experience managing external staffing vendors or agency/contract provider networks.
- Experience in reproductive and/or hormonal health, such as fertility, pregnancy, menopause, low testosterone, or gender-affirming care.
- Experience building or supporting quality assurance programs in a clinical setting.
- Comfort working in a high-growth, ambiguous environment with a focus on scalable processes.
