Provide supervisory and collaborative psychiatric oversight for child and adolescent behavioral health care delivered through telehealth, with a focus on supporting nurse practitioners rather than seeing patients directly. This role centers on case consultation, chart review, clinical guidance, and help shaping practice standards for virtual mental health programs. It is fully remote and suited to clinicians comfortable working in a technology-enabled, team-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical supervision and collaboration for nurse practitioners.
- Conduct case consultations and offer psychiatric guidance on complex presentations.
- Review and audit charts to support quality and consistency of care.
- Participate in development and refinement of internal practice standards.
- Coordinate closely with clinical supervisors to support virtual behavioral health workflows.
- Use telehealth platforms, EHRs, and digital communication tools to support remote collaboration.
Required
- MD or DO degree.
- Board certification in Psychiatry.
- Experience in child and adolescent mental health treatment.
- Active DEA registration.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
- Willingness to obtain additional state licensure.
Preferred
- Child and adolescent psychiatry board certification.
- Prior telehealth experience.
- Prior supervising or collaborative physician experience with nurse practitioners.
- Experience with addiction, serious mental illness, substance use disorders, or dual diagnosis.
- Familiarity with managed care, Medicaid, and private payers.
- Licensure in Florida, Illinois, and/or New York.
- Fluency in Spanish or other languages.
