This role centers on supervising nurse practitioners in a fully remote child and adolescent psychiatry setting, with no direct patient care. The psychiatrist provides clinical guidance, case consultation, chart review, and oversight of practice standards for virtual behavioral health care. The work is collaborative and technology-enabled, with an emphasis on quality, access, and behavioral health delivery for diverse patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical supervision and guidance to nurse practitioners.
- Conduct case consultations and support care decisions in child and adolescent psychiatry.
- Review charts and perform audits to support quality and consistency.
- Coordinate with Clinical Supervisors on virtual behavioral health workflows.
- Contribute input on internal practice standards and clinical processes.
- Use telehealth tools, video communication, and EHR systems in a remote setting.
- Respond to communications during business hours as part of team coordination.
Required
- MD or DO degree.
- Board certification in Psychiatry.
- Experience in child and adolescent mental health treatment.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
- Active DEA registration.
Preferred
- Child and adolescent psychiatry board certification.
- Prior experience supervising or collaborating with nurse practitioners.
- Prior telehealth experience.
- Experience with addiction, serious mental illness, substance use disorder, or dual diagnosis.
- Experience with managed care, Medicaid, and private payers.
- Florida, Illinois, and/or New York medical licensure.
- Fluency in Spanish or other languages.
