Provide remote outpatient care for patients receiving medication treatment for opioid use disorder, with a primary focus on initiating and managing buprenorphine in a harm-reduction model. Care is delivered in a structured, team-supported digital clinic that emphasizes patient autonomy, shared decision-making, and nonjudgmental support. The role is full-time and suited to experienced nurse practitioners who can work independently in a HIPAA-compliant home workspace.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual outpatient visits for patients with opioid use disorder.
- Initiate and manage buprenorphine-based treatment plans.
- Provide medication for opioid use disorder (MOUD) within a harm-reduction framework.
- Use shared decision-making to support patient-defined recovery goals.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team, including peer recovery professionals.
- Document and manage care in a fully remote, HIPAA-compliant workflow.
- Work autonomously while following structured clinical and team support processes.
Required
- Active Nurse Practitioner license.
- Residence in one of the listed eligible states.
- At least 6 months of experience in an independent outpatient setting prescribing buprenorphine-based medications, including initiating treatment.
- Ability to work full-time, 30-40 hours per week.
- Private, HIPAA-compliant workspace.
Preferred
- Experience practicing in addiction medicine or MOUD-focused care.
- Prior experience working in a fully remote or telehealth setting.
- Advanced certification such as PMHNP or CARN-AP.
