Provide remote pediatric urgent care for children and families, with a focus on evidence-based assessment and treatment during off-hours, weekends, and some overnights. The role centers on fast, clinic-level virtual visits in a tech-enabled model that aims to make care accessible from home. Clinicians work closely with other physicians and support staff to deliver a coordinated family experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct remote pediatric urgent care visits for common acute childhood concerns.
- Provide evidence-based diagnosis and treatment recommendations without prescribing solely to meet parent expectations.
- Coordinate care with other physicians and customer support staff to support a holistic patient experience.
- Use an EMR efficiently while managing a high volume of visits.
- Participate in on-call coverage during extended weekend hours and some overnight shifts.
- Handle overflow visits outside scheduled on-call time when available.
- Support a consumer-friendly, home-based care workflow that uses home exam kits and remote access.
Required
- MD or DO degree.
- Training and experience in pediatrics.
- Active medical licensure consistent with the company’s needs, including multiple state licenses as required for the role.
- Experience managing an EMR and working in a fast-paced telehealth setting.
- Ability to work 1099 contract hours and meet on-call coverage expectations.
Preferred
- Prior experience in pediatric telehealth.
- Familiarity with off-hours or weekend urgent care coverage.
- Experience working collaboratively in a remote, team-based practice.
- Comfort with high-throughput virtual visits.
