Provide psychiatric evaluations, assessments, treatment planning, and medication management for children, adolescents, and young adults in a virtual pediatric mental health setting. The work uses a whole-child approach and includes close collaboration with therapists and other interdisciplinary clinicians. You will also support families with education, diagnostic review, and ongoing care in a tech-enabled, fully remote practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments for pediatric and young adult patients.
- Provide medication management and follow-up care within your PMHNP scope.
- Coordinate treatment plans with therapists and interdisciplinary team members.
- Educate parents and caregivers to support understanding and engagement in care.
- Oversee diagnostic testing and maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation.
- Use virtual care platforms, EMR systems, and Google Suite tools in daily workflow.
- Participate in weekly clinical consultation and professional development.
Required
- Master’s degree from an accredited nursing program.
- PMHNP-BC certification.
- Active APRN licensure in PA, VA, NJ, or MD, or willingness to obtain licensure in these states with sponsorship.
- DEA license and state prescriptive authority.
- At least one year of independent psychiatric experience working under licensure.
Preferred
- Experience working with children and adolescents as a PMHNP.
- Prior experience providing telehealth or virtual psychiatric care.
- Ability to work core after-school hours and/or weekends.
- Comfort working in a collaborative, team-based pediatric mental health model.
