Provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, treatment planning, and medication management for children, adolescents, and young adults in a pediatric behavioral health setting. Work with families to explain care options, monitor progress and safety, and adjust treatment as needed. This role also includes collaboration with therapists and other clinicians in an integrated, whole-child model of care, with both in-person and virtual visits.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and diagnoses for pediatric and young adult patients.
- Provide medication management and individualized treatment planning.
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment options, and ongoing care.
- Monitor patient progress, safety, and response to treatment, adjusting plans when needed.
- Collaborate with psychotherapists, specialists, and interdisciplinary team members on integrated care plans.
- Participate in weekly team and supervisory clinical meetings.
- Maintain thorough, HIPAA-compliant documentation and review digital and lab results.
- Use telehealth and in-person workflows to deliver care in a hybrid model.
Required
- Master’s degree from an accredited nursing program.
- PMHNP-BC certification.
- Active Pennsylvania PMHNP/APRN license.
- DEA license and state prescriptive authority.
- At least one year of independent psychiatric experience under licensure.
- Ability to work after 4pm ET on weekdays and/or weekends.
Preferred
- Experience working with children and adolescents in psychiatric care.
- Comfort working in a collaborative, interdisciplinary behavioral health setting.
- Experience with virtual sessions, EMR systems, and Google Suite.
- Interest in after-school and weekend availability.
