Provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, treatment planning, and medication management for children, adolescents, and young adults in a pediatric mental health setting. The role combines in-person and virtual care with a hybrid schedule, with time focused on after-school hours and weekends. You will also collaborate closely with therapists and other clinicians in an integrated, whole-child care model.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and diagnoses for youth patients.
- Provide medication management and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress and safety needs.
- Develop individualized treatment plans that reflect the whole-child approach.
- Collaborate with therapists, specialists, and interdisciplinary colleagues to coordinate integrated care.
- Participate in weekly team and supervisory clinical meetings.
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment options, and mental health support.
- Oversee diagnostic testing, including digital and lab results.
- Maintain thorough, HIPAA-compliant documentation of visits and progress.
Required
- Master's degree from an accredited nursing program.
- PMHNP-BC certification.
- Active Pennsylvania PMHNP/APRN license.
- DEA license and state prescriptive authority.
- At least one year of independent psychiatric experience under licensure.
- Ability to work during core after-school hours, including after 4pm ET on weekdays and/or weekends.
Preferred
- Experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults in psychiatric care.
- Experience providing both virtual and in-person visits.
- Comfort with EMR systems, Google Suite, and virtual care platforms.
- Experience working in team-based, interdisciplinary mental health settings.
