Provide psychiatric evaluations, treatment planning, and medication management for children, adolescents, and young adults with a strong focus on pediatric mental health. The role emphasizes building therapeutic relationships with patients and families, providing education and ongoing support, and adjusting care based on progress and safety needs. Clinicians work in a hybrid model with both virtual and in-person visits and collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team in a whole-child, integrated care setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and diagnoses for children, adolescents, and young adults.
- Provide medication management and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Build therapeutic relationships with patients and families through education, support, and ongoing engagement.
- Monitor progress toward care goals and adjust treatment plans as needed to support safety and outcomes.
- Collaborate with therapists, specialists, and other clinicians on integrated care plans.
- Participate in weekly team and supervisory clinical meetings.
- Oversee diagnostic testing, including digital and laboratory results.
- Maintain thorough, HIPAA-compliant documentation of patient visits and progress.
Required
- Master’s degree from an accredited nursing program.
- PMHNP-BC certification.
- At least one year of independent psychiatric experience working under licensure.
- Active New Jersey PMHNP/APRN license.
- DEA license and state prescriptive authority.
- Access to a personal phone, computer, and high-speed internet.
Preferred
- Experience working with children and adolescents in psychiatric care.
- Experience providing both in-person and virtual sessions.
- Comfort working in Google Suite, EMR systems, and virtual platforms.
- Availability during after-school hours, evenings, and/or weekends.
