Provide psychiatric evaluations, treatment planning, and medication management for children, adolescents, and young adults in a pediatric behavioral health setting. The role emphasizes building trusted relationships with patients and families while supporting integrated, whole-child care. Work is hybrid, with a mix of in-person and virtual visits, plus remote administrative time and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and diagnoses for pediatric and young adult patients.
- Provide medication management and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress and safety needs.
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment options, and ongoing care.
- Collaborate with therapists, specialists, and other clinicians on integrated treatment plans.
- Participate in weekly team and supervisory clinical meetings.
- Oversee diagnostic testing, including digital and lab results.
- Maintain thorough, HIPAA-compliant documentation of patient encounters and progress.
- Use virtual care platforms, EMR systems, and Google Suite to support clinical workflows.
Required
- Master’s degree from an accredited nursing program.
- PMHNP-BC certification.
- Active Maryland PMHNP/APRN license.
- Licensure in Virginia, Pennsylvania, or New Jersey in addition to Maryland.
- Autonomous Practice Status.
- DEA license and State Prescriptive Authority.
- At least one year of independent psychiatric experience under licensure.
Preferred
- Experience working with children and adolescents in psychiatric practice.
- Experience providing both in-person and virtual care.
- Comfort working in a collaborative, interdisciplinary pediatric mental health model.
