Provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, treatment planning, and medication management for children, adolescents, and young adults in a pediatric behavioral health setting. This role emphasizes ongoing family education, safety monitoring, and support for engagement in care. Clinicians work with an interdisciplinary team and help coordinate integrated treatment across therapy and psychiatric services.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and diagnoses for children, adolescents, and young adults.
- Provide individualized treatment planning and medication management.
- Build therapeutic relationships with patients and families through education and ongoing support.
- Monitor patient progress toward care goals and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Coordinate care with therapists, specialists, and other interdisciplinary team members.
- Participate in weekly team and supervisory clinical meetings.
- Oversee diagnostic testing results, including digital and lab results.
- Maintain thorough, HIPAA-compliant clinical documentation.
Required
- Master’s degree from an accredited nursing program.
- PMHNP-BC certification.
- At least one year of independent psychiatric experience under licensure.
- Active Pennsylvania PMHNP/CRNP/APN license.
- DEA license and state prescriptive authority.
- Ability to work at least 12 hours per week during after-school hours or weekends.
Preferred
- Experience working with children and adolescents as a psychiatric nurse practitioner.
- Experience working in collaborative, team-based behavioral health environments.
- Comfort with remote care delivery and family-centered engagement.
