Provide remote psychiatric collaboration and chart review support for pediatric and adolescent mental health care, working with psychiatric nurse practitioners on clinical decision-making and complex cases. This role is primarily supervisory and consultative rather than direct patient care, with a focus on high-quality review and timely virtual support. It is a flexible, part-time telehealth position in a collaborative, async-first care model.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical collaboration to nurse practitioners delivering pediatric mental health care.
- Support clinical decision-making to help maintain a high standard of patient care.
- Conduct regular chart reviews in accordance with Virginia state requirements.
- Be available for virtual consultations as clinical questions arise.
- Collaborate with clinical and leadership teams to refine workflows and implement best practices.
- Serve as a clinical resource for complex or escalated cases.
- Respond to urgent clinical consultations in a timely manner.
Required
- Board-certified psychiatrist, MD or DO.
- Active, unrestricted Virginia medical license in good standing.
- At least 5 years of collaborative clinical experience.
- Comfort working in a fully remote telehealth environment.
- Own phone, computer, and high-speed internet connection.
- Availability for approximately 2-5 hours per month.
Preferred
- Experience working with children, adolescents, or young adults.
- Familiarity with collaborative practice agreements and multi-state telehealth regulations.
- Background in integrated or interdisciplinary care models.
- Experience in a high-growth or startup healthcare environment.
- Comfort with EMR systems and async clinical communication tools.
