This role focuses on remote neurodevelopmental diagnostic evaluations for children and adolescents, including autism assessments and related clinical formulation. The clinician may also provide ongoing psychotherapy if desired, with care delivered in close coordination with an interdisciplinary pediatric mental health team. Work is structured around flexible scheduling and after-school hours, with a whole-child, evidence-based approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct neurodevelopmental diagnostic evaluations, including autism spectrum assessments.
- Analyze and synthesize assessment data into clear diagnostic conclusions and recommendations.
- Provide compassionate feedback to children, families, and the broader care team after evaluations.
- Complete evaluation notes and documentation within required timelines.
- Manage diagnostic scheduling, including assessments, feedback visits, report writing, and rescheduling.
- Participate in weekly department and team meetings and provide clinical consultation as needed.
- Use standardized diagnostic tools such as ADOS-2, ASRS, and CARS when applicable.
- Participate in training and supervision to expand diagnostic skills.
Required
- Independent licensure as a psychologist in New Jersey, or PsyD eligibility to practice under PSYPACT.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, and families.
- Strong clinical writing and documentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary care model.
- Comfort managing complex schedules and multiple clinical responsibilities.
Preferred
- Prior experience conducting neurodevelopmental or autism diagnostic evaluations.
- Familiarity with standardized diagnostic tools such as ADOS-2, ASRS, and CARS.
- Experience in integrated or team-based care environments.
