This role involves providing telemedicine hospitalist coverage for adult inpatient care, with daytime shifts focused on admissions, consults, and cross-cover. It is a part-time position for clinicians who can support multiple sites and are comfortable working across hospitalist workflows in a virtual setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daytime tele-hospitalist coverage for inpatient admissions, consults, and cross-cover.
- Provide backup coverage for other telemedicine sites as needed.
- Coordinate care with hospital teams and Beam Healthcare administrative staff.
- Use a virtual care model to support hospital-based patient care from home.
- Follow evidence-based, quality-focused care processes in a team-based practice.
Required
- MD or DO degree.
- Training or experience in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
- Prior hospitalist or inpatient experience.
- Active Kansas, Louisiana, or Texas medical license, or active acceptance to IMLC.
- Ability to work 12-hour daytime shifts from 0700 to 1900.
- Availability for at least 7 shifts per 4-week block if working part time.
- Must not require J-1 or H-1 visa sponsorship.
Preferred
- Experience with telemedicine or virtual hospitalist workflows.
- Comfort working in a backup coverage model across multiple sites.
