Provide telepsychiatry care for a mixed-age outpatient population, with a focus on assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and medication management for behavioral health conditions. This part-time role is fully remote and includes collaboration with interdisciplinary clinicians across the care continuum, from outpatient settings to broader behavioral health partners. Work involves team-based treatment planning, periodic plan review, and use of technology in a virtual care environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric assessments, evaluations, screenings, diagnoses, and treatment for assigned patients.
- Analyze patient data and test results to determine the nature and severity of behavioral health disorders.
- Provide psychotherapeutic treatment and prescribe medications for mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders.
- Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, social workers, psychiatric nurses, and other professionals on treatment plans and patient progress.
- Order or review laboratory tests to assess general physical condition and mental health concerns.
- Participate in treatment team activities, including development and periodic review of care plans.
- Address situations in which a patient refuses treatment as part of the care team process.
Required
- MD or DO degree with training in psychiatry.
- Active Illinois medical license.
- 1-3 years of experience after obtaining licensure.
- Ability to provide care via telepsychiatry.
Preferred
- Child and adolescent psychiatry experience.
- Intermediate to advanced comfort with technology.
- Strong communication skills.
- Established and updated CAQH profile.
