Provide fully virtual psychiatric care for patients in acute crisis across emergency departments, hospital medical floors, and psychiatric crisis stabilization settings. Work focuses on rapid assessment, stabilizing treatment, and helping determine the least restrictive appropriate level of care. Clinicians collaborate closely with onsite teams and use a measurement-based, evidence-based telepsychiatry model supported by a 24/7 access center.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients in acute psychiatric crisis across emergency rooms, medical floors, and crisis programs.
- Provide stabilizing psychotherapeutic treatment and prescribe medications for mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders.
- Coordinate with onsite professionals and partner care teams to determine timely disposition and level of care.
- Use a collaborative care approach within hospital and health system treatment teams.
- Manage care in a fully remote workflow while serving multiple concurrent settings.
- Communicate with patients from diverse backgrounds using culturally humble, culturally competent care.
- Work with multiple EMRs and telehealth tools as part of day-to-day practice.
Required
- Board-certified or board-eligible Psychiatrist.
- Unrestricted, independent medical licensure.
- Experience providing psychiatric care to patients across age groups.
- Experience treating patients in acute crisis or 24/7 behavioral health settings.
- Established and current CAQH and FCVS profiles.
- Private office space for confidential remote work.
Preferred
- Experience obtaining or maintaining multiple state licenses.
- Telepsychiatry experience.
- Experience working with multiple EMRs simultaneously.
- Advanced technical proficiency with Windows systems, Microsoft software, and telehealth hardware.
