Provide remote psychiatric evaluation and treatment for adults and older adults receiving care through an FQHC, with a focus on assessment, diagnosis, medication management, and psychotherapy as needed. The role is fully telepsychiatry-based and centers on Spanish-language care for an adult and geriatric patient population. Clinicians work with an interdisciplinary team and may help coordinate treatment planning, lab review, and follow-up care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric assessments, screenings, diagnoses, and treatment planning for assigned patients.
- Provide medication management and psychotherapeutic interventions for mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders.
- Analyze patient data and test results to evaluate the nature and severity of behavioral health conditions.
- Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, social workers, psychiatric nurses, and other professionals on treatment plans and progress.
- Order or review laboratory tests to inform psychiatric and general medical assessment.
- Participate in treatment team meetings, including periodic plan review and response to treatment refusal when needed.
Required
- Active California medical license.
- Board certification in psychiatry.
- 1-3 years of experience after licensure.
- Fluency in Spanish.
- Intermediate to advanced comfort with technology.
- Strong communication skills.
