Physician provides virtual clinical oversight and consultative support for patients with acute illnesses, chronic conditions, and mental health concerns. The role centers on supervising an interdisciplinary care team, reviewing cases periodically, and helping guide diagnosis, testing, and medication management. It is a concierge-style telehealth model with minimal time required for consultation and review.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct clinical assessments to identify the cause of illness and support diagnosis.
- Prescribe and interpret laboratory tests to gather additional clinical information.
- Prescribe medications and provide clear instructions for administration.
- Collaborate with physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and nurses in a multidisciplinary team.
- Provide supervision and serve as a resource to the interdisciplinary care team.
- Participate in periodic chart or case reviews as part of the telehealth workflow.
- Maintain a compassionate, trust-based approach to patient care.
- Stay current with medical developments and best practices.
Required
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Active DEA license.
- Proven experience practicing as a physician.
- Must be in good standing.
- Must live in Kentucky.
Preferred
- Training or experience in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine.
- Prior experience working in telehealth or virtual care.
