Provide virtual psychiatric care for women with mild to moderate depression, anxiety, and PMDD, with attention to the overlap between hormonal and mental health concerns. In this consulting role, you also help launch the psychiatry service line by building protocols, safety and escalation workflows, and hiring standards, then continue with patient care, supervision, and case consultation after launch. The position is fully remote and centers on collaborative, scalable outpatient behavioral health care.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop clinical protocols for medication management and therapeutic approaches for depression, anxiety, and PMDD.
- Design behavioral health safety and escalation protocols.
- Build hiring rubrics and assessment frameworks for PMHNP candidates.
- Participate in initial PMHNP interviews with the clinical team.
- Treat a panel of patients with mild to moderate psychiatric conditions after launch.
- Supervise PMHNPs and provide case consultations.
- Support ad hoc clinical escalations.
- Collaborate with clinical and operations leadership on the service line launch.
Required
- Active board certification in Psychiatry through ABPN or AOBNP.
- Active, unrestricted, and unencumbered medical license in California, Florida, New York, or Texas, or willingness to obtain an IMLC state license in one of those states.
- At least 5 years of post-residency clinical experience as a practicing psychiatrist.
- Outpatient psychiatry experience.
- Experience treating depression, anxiety, and PMDD at the intersection of hormonal and mental health.
- Experience supervising or collaborating with PMHNPs or other advanced practice providers.
Preferred
- Prior experience in telehealth or a high-growth care delivery environment.
- Experience designing behavioral health safety and escalation protocols.
