Provide remote psychiatric care for women with mild to moderate depression, anxiety, and PMDD, with a focus on the overlap between hormonal and mental health concerns. This consulting role also supports the launch of a new psychiatry service line by helping develop clinical protocols, safety and escalation pathways, and hiring standards. After launch, the work includes supervising PMHNPs, offering case consultation, and handling ad hoc escalations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop clinical protocols for medication management and therapeutic modalities for depression, anxiety, and PMDD.
- Design behavioral health safety and escalation workflows.
- Build hiring rubrics and assessment frameworks for PMHNP candidates.
- Participate in initial PMHNP interviews with the clinical team.
- Treat patients with mild to moderate depression, anxiety, and PMDD.
- Supervise PMHNPs and provide case consultation.
- Support ad hoc clinical escalations.
Required
- Active board certification in Psychiatry through ABPN or AOBNP.
- Active, unrestricted medical license in California, Florida, New York, or Texas, or an IMLC license with willingness to obtain licensure in one of those states.
- At least 5 years of post-residency clinical experience as a practicing psychiatrist.
- Outpatient psychiatry experience.
- Experience treating women’s mental health concerns, including hormonal-related depression, anxiety, and PMDD.
- Experience supervising or collaborating with PMHNPs or other advanced practice providers.
Preferred
- Prior experience in telehealth or a high-growth care delivery environment.
- Experience designing behavioral health safety and escalation protocols.
