Primary Care Physician (Rhode Island Primary Care Medical Group)

Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care for patients across the full lifespan, including preventive care and chronic disease management, in a value-based care setting. The role centers on managing an assigned patient panel and delivering patient-centered care with strong clinical and operational support. You will also collaborate with physicians, APPs, and care teams, with optional in-office procedures and shared after-hours call coverage.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care to patients across the full lifespan
• Manage an assigned patient panel, including preventive care and chronic disease management
• Deliver high-quality care aligned with value-based care principles
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, and care teams to coordinate care and improve outcomes
• Participate in care coordination and quality improvement initiatives
• Use the EMR to document care and manage patient records
• Provide after-hours call coverage for your patient panel
• Incorporate in-office procedures based on experience and interest

Required

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• Active, unrestricted Rhode Island medical license or eligibility to obtain one
• Commitment to patient-centered, value-based care
• Ability to manage a broad range of primary care conditions

Preferred

• Interest in quality improvement and population health initiatives
• Comfort working in a team-based, technology-enabled care environment
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
