Primary Care Physician (Rhode Island Primary Care Medical Group)

This physician will provide comprehensive outpatient primary care for patients across the full lifespan, managing preventive care, chronic disease, and a broad range of primary care conditions. The role is focused on value-based care in a team-based setting, with support from physicians, APPs, and care teams. In-office procedures may be incorporated based on experience and interest, and after-hours call coverage is part of the panel-based practice model.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care across the full lifespan in a 100% outpatient setting
• Manage an assigned patient panel, including preventive care and chronic disease management
• Deliver patient-centered care aligned with value-based care principles
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, and care teams to coordinate care and improve outcomes
• Participate in care coordination and quality improvement initiatives
• Use the EMR to document care and manage patient records
• Provide after-hours call coverage for your patient panel, with a shared model may be available
• Incorporate in-office procedures based on experience and interest

Required

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• Active, unrestricted Rhode Island medical license, or eligibility to obtain one
• Commitment to patient-centered, value-based care
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to manage a broad range of primary care conditions
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
