Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care for a diverse patient panel across the full lifespan, with an emphasis on preventive care and chronic disease management. The role is grounded in value-based care and supported by a collaborative, clinician-led team in a technology-enabled practice. You may also manage patient panel follow-up, after-hours coverage, and in-office procedures based on experience and scope.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care to patients across the full lifespan
- See approximately 16–20 patients per day in a fully outpatient setting
- Manage an assigned patient panel, including preventive care and chronic disease management
- Collaborate with physicians and advanced practice providers to coordinate care and improve outcomes
- Practice in collaboration with supervising physicians in accordance with Rhode Island regulations
- Participate in care coordination and quality improvement initiatives
- Use the EMR to document care and manage patient records
- Provide after-hours call coverage for your patient panel
Required
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Physician Assistant in Rhode Island
- Active DEA registration or eligibility to obtain
- Rhode Island Controlled Substances Registration (CSR) or eligibility to obtain
- Commitment to delivering patient-centered, value-based primary care
Preferred
- Interest in quality improvement and population health initiatives
- Comfort working in a team-based, technology-enabled care environment
- Experience managing a broad range of primary care conditions
