Provide fully virtual psychiatric care for members with substance use and mental health disorders, with a strong focus on addiction treatment and medication management. This role centers on telehealth evaluations, follow-up visits, and prescribing appropriate medications, including Suboxone for opioid use disorder. The clinician works with a multidisciplinary care team and uses a mobile app and EHR-supported workflow in a real-time, data-driven care model.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial and follow-up telehealth psychiatric evaluations.
- Provide evidence-based treatment for substance use disorders and mental health conditions.
- Prescribe medications as appropriate, including Suboxone for opioid use disorder.
- Complete clinical documentation in the EHR.
- Collaborate with counselors, therapists, peer support specialists, and case managers.
- Participate in scheduled team meetings and care coordination.
- Answer member questions and support ongoing treatment planning.
Required
- Active, unrestricted PMHNP license in Nebraska.
- Active and verifiable PMHNP license in the state of practice and state of residence, if different.
- At least 2 years of experience, ideally in addiction or mental health treatment.
- Experience prescribing Suboxone.
- Active DEA registration.
- Ability to work in a HIPAA-compliant telehealth setting with a private office and reliable internet connection.
Preferred
- Medicaid enrollment.
- Prior experience as a PMHNP with relevant behavioral health experience when under 2 years of practice.
- Comfort using technology, including EHRs and mobile apps.
- Willingness to obtain multi-state licensure.
