Provide virtual psychiatric evaluations and follow-up care for members with substance use disorders and mental health conditions, with a focus on evidence-based treatment in a telehealth setting. The role includes medication management, patient education, and ongoing support for individuals receiving behavioral health care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial and follow-up telehealth evaluations
- Provide care for substance use disorders and mental health conditions
- Prescribe medications as appropriate, including Suboxone for opioid use disorder
- Answer member questions and support treatment planning
- Complete documentation in the EHR (Healthie)
- Collaborate with counselors, therapists, peer support specialists, and case managers
- Participate in occasional scheduled team meetings
Required
- Active, verifiable PMHNP license in Illinois
- Active, unrestricted license in the state(s) where you practice and in your state of residence if not Illinois
- At least 2 years of experience, ideally in addiction or mental health treatment
- Experience prescribing Suboxone
- Active DEA registration
- Ability to obtain multi-state licensure
Preferred
- Medicaid enrollment
- Previous experience as a PMHNP in behavioral health or addiction treatment
- Comfort using EHRs and mobile apps
