Provide 100% virtual psychiatric and behavioral health care for members with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions, with a strong focus on opioid use disorder treatment. Conduct telehealth evaluations, prescribe medications as appropriate, and support evidence-based treatment within a collaborative care model. Work alongside counselors, therapists, peer support specialists, and case managers using a smartphone app and EHR-driven workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial and follow-up telehealth evaluations for behavioral health and substance use concerns.
- Provide evidence-based treatment for mental health disorders and substance use disorders.
- Prescribe medications as clinically appropriate, including Suboxone for opioid use disorder.
- Complete clinical documentation in the EHR.
- Collaborate with counselors, therapists, peer support specialists, and case managers.
- Participate in occasional scheduled team meetings and coordinate care with the broader team.
- Answer member questions and support treatment decisions through collaborative care planning.
Required
- Active, unrestricted PMHNP license in Illinois.
- Active and verifiable PMHNP license in the state(s) of practice and residence, if applicable.
- At least 2 years of experience, preferably in addiction or mental health treatment.
- Active DEA registration.
- Experience prescribing Suboxone.
- Willingness to obtain multi-state licensure.
Preferred
- Medicaid enrollment.
- Prior PMHNP experience in addiction treatment or mental health care.
- Comfort using EHR systems and mobile apps.
