Clinician Scientist who helps develop and validate AI tools for clinical documentation, risk adjustment, clinical decision support, and prior authorization. The work centers on evaluating AI-generated notes, defining clinical quality thresholds, and improving workflows that support documentation accuracy and medication safety. This is a hybrid role with regular office حضور and close collaboration with engineers, data scientists, product managers, and clinicians.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and refine AI-driven clinical tools for notes, risk adjustment, clinical decision support, and prior authorization.
- Write, review, and optimize prompts to improve model performance in clinical settings.
- Evaluate AI-generated notes for hallucinations, omissions, and medication safety issues.
- Define clinically meaningful output, quality thresholds, error rates, and guardrail metrics for model updates.
- Translate clinical needs into technical specifications and data models.
- Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, product managers, and clinicians on model refinement and validation.
- Monitor clinical guideline and payer policy changes and update product behavior accordingly.
- Contribute to product development, revenue cycle management, and broader business initiatives.
Required
- MD, DO, PA, or equivalent clinical degree.
- Direct experience in clinical practice.
- Deep understanding of medical documentation, clinical workflows, and medical terminology.
- Experience evaluating AI-generated clinical notes and providing structured feedback.
- Knowledge of healthcare data standards such as FHIR and HL7.
- Knowledge of privacy regulations such as HIPAA.
Preferred
- Experience with software engineering, prompt engineering, or AI model development.
- Python programming skills.
- Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow.
- Prior experience with AI-powered clinical documentation tools or clinical decision support systems.
- Published research in AI, machine learning, or healthcare technology.
